VEIL installs on every platform straight from this page. Below that, the native builds — and an honest account of what Apple does and does not allow.

Install VEIL

VEIL installs straight from the browser onto any device — iPhone, iPad, Android, Windows, macOS, Linux, ChromeOS. It gets a home-screen icon, opens full-screen with no browser chrome, and Pulse keeps working with no connection at all, because it never needed the network in the first place.

How to install on your device

  1. 1Look for the install icon in the address bar (a screen with a downward arrow).
  2. 2Click it, then click "Install".
  3. 3VEIL opens as its own desktop app and appears in your launcher.

Not published

The Android wrapper and its build pipeline are committed to this repository, but no signed APK has been published yet — so there is deliberately no download button here rather than one that 404s.

To publish one

  1. 1. Add the signing secrets to the repository.
  2. 2. Push a tag: v1.0.0
  3. 3. The release workflow builds and attaches the APK.
  4. 4. Set NEXT_PUBLIC_APK_URL to the asset URL.

See Native builds in the README.

iPhone / iPad

Install above

There is no iOS equivalent of an APK, and there never has been. Apple does not permit apps to be installed from a downloaded file. An .ipa only installs through the App Store, through TestFlight, or through a provisioning profile tied to specific registered devices — all of which need a paid Apple Developer account and, for the App Store, review.

So the install button at the top of this page is the iOS app: Add to Home Screen gives you a real icon, a full-screen window with no browser chrome, and offline Pulse. It is the only route that works today without an Apple Developer account.

To ship a real iOS build

  1. 1. An Apple Developer account (99 USD/year).
  2. 2. A Mac with Xcode — Apple’s toolchain is macOS-only.
  3. 3. npx cap add ios then open in Xcode.
  4. 4. Set NEXT_PUBLIC_TESTFLIGHT_URL once it is live.

What installing actually changes

A real app window. Home-screen icon, full screen, no address bar, its own entry in the app switcher.

Pulse works offline. It already stored everything on your device, so with no connection the dashboard, the tracker and the diagnosis all keep running.

Still no account. Installing adds no tracking, no push permissions and no sign-in. Payment and reveal pages are never cached, so they always come from the network.
